Hairstylist Luigi Murenu said of the slicked-back loop. “It’s strong
because of how sculptural it is, but it’s beautiful because of how perfect it is.”

The night before the show, Murenu prepped extensions made from real
hair: He covered them in gel, flatironed them, and cut them diagonally

Backstage, Murenu coated models’ hair with Kiehl’s Clean-Hold Styling Gel,parted
it down the middle, and added shine to ends withJohn Frieda Frizz-Ease Hair Serum
Original Formula. He then gathered it into a low knot at the nape of the models’ necks.
To add an architectural detail, he pinned color-matched extensions into the base of the
bun—some pointing up, others down.

McGrath evened out the models’ complexions and created a subtle pallor with foundation and concealer
that were slightly lighter than their natural skin tones. Concealer applied to the eyelids added to the effect

“Bleached brows make the girls look more powerful,” said McGrath. She recolored and re-toned them to a light
brown. Then, She applied mascara on just the top lashes for separation and brushed on a touch of highlighter for
definition. The dark burgundy lips were the focus of the look

Hairstylist Luigi Murenu was similarly inspired by Italian art. “It’s a dark romanticist, so it has a poeticism,
like the paintings of Dante Gabriel Rosetti,” he said. Murenu made center parts and loaded up on extensions.

To create the loose, romantic waves, Murenu prepped hair with a volumizer from John Frieda, then curled hair
away from the face with a one-inch curling iron. After that, the top half was flatironed. Murenu then softened the
look by tousling the hair with his fingers.

At the Italian fashion house’s Fall 2012 show , Miuccia Prada styled her models
with extreme dye jobs , with pin straight hair fading from deep brown to bleached blonde

Against the vibrant prints and orange-tinted smoky eyes, the bold hair popped and made it official: Ombre Hair Is Back!!

At Christian Dior Spring 2012 Haute Couture show, models wore fresh light make up. Their hair were transformed into
a waved under bob with the help of some sharpened scissors. But looking closer it was evident that no scissors were needed
